Please note I did around 5 oil changes on my duke 390 (2016) and here are some tips (from my experience): 1. Measure the amount of oil (through the engine oil window) only after the engine is hot (measurement is incorrect when the engine is cold). 2. so ktm oil change kit has filter and orings and two oil plug with magnetic and filter. Is mandatory to replace whole hardware for every engine oil change? manual said 9300mi for engine oil interval I don't think no one do that? I prob change every 4-5k mi. and is 790 engin oil change kit is good for 890 too? Power comes courtesy of the same 799cc double over head cam parallel twin motor first introduced in the KTM 790 Duke in 2018 Service intervals are generous, with an oil change every 9320 miles On the 790 you can't change the date, only the mileage. The date rolls once the current interval is completed and you reset the service mileage interval. Perhaps set the mileage to the lowest (500) and then roll it for 500 miles. The logic may be miles or date, whichever comes first, and at that point the date rolls 12 months ahead.
Overall I have to say that Чернотa is a very reliable KTM 690 Enduro R. In the meanwhile it has over 140.000 km or 86.000 MI on the Odo. Oil+Filter change

Drained it completely, and got an oil change kit from KTM: Filter, 2 screens, and new bolts with all the respective O- rings. Filled the bike with exactly 1,6 Litres as the service manual indicates.
Oil aeration, which is an enemy of HLAs, was minimized throughout the powertrain. The result is a high-performance OHC engine with the benefit of hydraulic lifters. The only big V-Twin in in our recent Heavyweight Nakeds shootout, the KTM 1290 Super Duke R, peaked at 9700 rpm with 159 rear-wheel horses. Its eight valves will need checking every NTtw.
