Butyeah, it's the honest truth that Alan Wake gameplay isn't the greatest. The gameplay and combat does improve a little in Alan Wake's American Nightmare, and is even a little bit more open to walk around and explore, but there is repetitiveness with being caught in a loop and having to do the same tasks 3 times, can be a bit annoying.

AlanWake is a frustrating masterpiece. It’s rife with charm, and overflowing with a mysterious atmosphere, and both are on display in Alan Wake: Remastered more than ever before. However, its Enemiesdefinitely have more health. Axe throwers went from 3 shots to 4-5. Brutes can take up to 12 shots and the fast guys seem to be mostly unaffected. However, the darkness shielding has been at least doubled for pretty much everyone. Birds and possessed included, making batteries incredibly important. Its just gone after Alan makes it back. There was mention that the lamp and the switch together do something else because they were once connected. That never manifested. Saga and Casey are still in the Dark Place somewhere, but I guess that could be DLC. Obviously she wasn't going to reach her daughter though. SBpUYu.
